PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of stabilizing an RF signal level, stably reproducing even a disk different in reflectance and improving reproducing power. SOLUTION: An LPC(laser power control) circuit 10 not being the circuit stabilizing the RF signal level by adding VCA(voltage control amplifier) to an RF amplifier and controlling laser power is provided on the APC circuit 5a of the optical disk device, and the LPC circuit 10 investigates the amplitude of the RF signal VRFO, and generates a control voltage VL applied to the APC circuit 5a, and controls the laser power by applying feedback to stabilize the RF signal level. Thus, even the disk with different reflectance is reproduced stably, and the reproducing power is improved, and the deterioration in the reproducing power according to the deterioration in a light output of a laser diode according to the secular change and the deterioration in the light output due to dust stuck to a pickup is prevented. Further, since the laser power is controlled in itself, the band of the RF amplifier is not affected. |
