PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode maintaining stable characteristics by preventing the falling-off of a carbon cloth used as an active layer, and lessen the deterioration rate of a voltage efficiency in a battery continuous test. SOLUTION: By adjusting the used yarn size, the forming number, the weight amount, and the activating degree of a phenol original web carbon cloth, a specific surface area effective for an electrode reaction with bromine is acquired, also a fiber strength-heightened activated carbon cloth is obtained, and the activated carbon cloth is thermo-compression bonded onto a carbon plastic electrode substrate so as to form a positive electrode. The most suitable conditions for the temperature, pressure and hold time of pressing to the electrode substrate of the activated carbon cloth are 190 deg.C, 120kg/cm<2> , and five minutes. |
