PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which performs satisfactory transfer irrespective of recording-medium type. SOLUTION: Each of printing mechanisms of an electrophotographic recorder is composed of a photoreceptor, an electrifying roller, an LED head, a toner- storing developing unit, and a transfer roller. Between the photoreceptor and transfer roller, a carrier belt is movably disposed, and an attraction roller is provided for attracting a recording medium to the carrier belt by the application of a voltage to the recording medium. A medium-resistance detection circuit 74 is provided for detecting the resistance value of the recording medium by detecting the voltage applied when the recording medium is carried, and based on the detected value a transfer voltage is controlled by a control circuit 41. |
