PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite device saving the power consumption by changing the preheating temperature for fixing temperature in accordance with the frequency in use of a recording part in an energy saving mode. SOLUTION: In the energy saving mode, a CPU 2 controls the temperature of the fixing heater 4 of a fixing part 6 to the preheating temperature lower than the fixing temperature based on the detection result by a thermistor 5. When the CPU 2 detects copying operation or a reception detection circuit 7 detects a facsimile reception, the CPU 2 updates the frequency in use of the respective tables of a time zone table storage memory 8 and a data table storage memory 9 in every time zone and data of the operation based on the time measurement result by a real time clock(RTC) 3. Based on the frequency in use of the respective tables of the memories 8 and 9, a temperature difference from the fixing temperature is calculated to control the temperature of the heater 4 to the preheating temperature corresponding to the temperature difference. |
