A case and a coating method for the same are provided to bond a metal film and a coating film firmly by increasing a contact area between the metal film and the coating film and applying adhesive strength of the coating film to a portion where the metal film is not formed. A case is composed of: a case body(101); a metal thin film(104) heat-stamped on the outside of the case body; a coating film(105) for covering the outer side of the case body and the metal thin film; and dyed films(102,103) formed between the outer side of the case body and the metal thin film to express color or pearl. The case body is a synthetic resin injection molded article. The metal thin film is Al(Aluminum) foil.
