The ashtray which is fixed on an existing bar counter (4) has a hole (3) into which falls the cigarette residues and pushed by running water (4) until evacuation of the used water. The gutter has a grill (6) which rests on the reinforcing (7). Several pivoted covers (8) are held by a hinge (9) and activated by the user. A movable retaining rod is fixed to the covers. In the opening is a notch (11) which is closed down inside the cover during closure.
