SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLING OF NAVIGATION USING TRAFFIC CONTEXT CONTENT IN IPTV

A method and a system for controlling a traffic information guiding service using an IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) are provided to enable a user to obtain a bypass path as well as traffic information on the current path by adding modulated traffic information considering the current traffic condition. A system for controlling a traffic information guiding service includes an IP broadcasting content server(121) and an IP(Internet Protocol) broadcasting control server(122). The IP broadcasting content server receives traffic information contents, generates contents metadata, maps the contents metadata to the contents, and stores the mapped contents. The IP broadcasting content server retrieves path contents and mapped contents metadata based on a path from a source to a destination. The IP broadcasting control server generates mega contents profile by combining the path contents with each other and inserts recognition metadata representing the traffic information from the contents metadata to the mega contents profile. The IP broadcasting control server transmits the mega contents profile.
