PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to sing song without referring to a text displayed on a display device by outputting text data by voice in precedence to KARAOKE playing music. SOLUTION: The playing of accompaniment music is started and background pictures are displayed. The background pictures belonging to the categories assigned by a protocol among the static images stored in the memory section 28 of a navigation device 10 are selected and are successively displayed. The navigation device 10 judges whether the timing to change the text display on the background pictures is attained or not. When the timing to change the text display is attained, whether a 'earlier read' display displayed on a liquid crystal panel 50a is touched or not is judged. When the 'earlier read' is instructed, the contents of the text data displayed on one screen are synthesized to voices via a voice output circuit 12 and are outputted from a speaker 14. Next, the text is superimposed on the background pictures and is displayed in accordance with the text data. |
