<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method which are accelerated and simplified for finding new virtual path identifier(VPI) and virtual circuit identifier(VCI) by providing a circuit for generating a signal for integrating information into the input VCI of a cell and a circuit for masking this signal. SOLUTION: While using an input port number 110, VPI 114 and VCI, an ATM switch arranges an entry 130 inside an output transformation table(OTT) 140. The entry 130 designates an output port to transmit the cell. The switch links the number 110 and the input VPI and forms a look-up table(LUT) pointer 150. The pointer 150 designates an entry 160 inside an LUT 170. A subtracter 180 generates a signal VCIin-32. An output VCIin-1 of an MUX 190 is transmitted to a circuit 200 and the circuit 200 forms an ITT pointer 204. The pointer 204 points an entry 220 of an input transformation table 210.</p> |
