The system for remote control of one or several cameras (9 - 16) from one or several consoles (1 - 8) uses a transmitter unit (17) connected to the consoles. The transmitter transmits a unique electro-magnetic control signal (18) containing instructions for each of the cameras. The signal is received by a receiver unit (19 -26) for each of the cameras which decodes the instruction for each camera. The decoded instructions are stored in an interface memory (49). The cameras read the instructions from the interface memory in a sequential manner. The transmission frequency of the signal is in the UHF - VHF range, between 100 to 600 megahertz. The signal is multiplexed, and includes a succession of sequences formed from a multiplexed instruction arrangement. It includes a camera identification code, a code which specifies the type of adjustment to the camera and a code which specifies the value of the camera adjustment. The transmitter has input ports (35 - 42) to which the consoles are connected. The ports are connected to a coding unit (43), connected to a transmitter (44) fitted with an antenna (45). The receiver (46) has an antenna (47) connected to a decoding unit (48) which is connected to the memory interface (49). The camera adjusting circuits are connected to the interface memory.
