PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage alloy electrode in which the suppression of the battery internal pressure of an alkaline storage battery is superior, and manufacturing suitability is also superior. SOLUTION: A hydrogen storage alloy layer composed of hydrogen storage alloy powder electrochemically storing and releasing hydrogen and a small quantity of binder is provided on the surface of a conductive support of an electrode. To the surface of the hydrogen storage alloy layer, a copolymer soluble in solvent whose main component is at least one kind monomer selected among CFCl=CF2 , C6 H5 -O-CH=CH2 , CH3 CH2 OCH=CH2 , HO(CH2 )4 -O-CH=CH2 is applied. |
