The method consists in introducing into a reactor containing the ophthalmic article and the additive a fluid in supercritical state and maintaining this fluid in the reactor for the time required for incorporating the additive into the ophthalmic article, eliminating the fluid in supercritical state and recuperating the ophthalmic article in which the additive has been incorporated. The invention is applicable to the incorporation of photochromic substances.
