PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an illegal card from being used by matching data on the balance stored on a storage medium with the total of data on amounts of money that two-dimensional codes indicate. SOLUTION: A magnetic reader writer 19 reads data out of the magnetic tape of a prepaid card. The read data are analyzed to confirm data on the balance, and the data on the balance are stored in a storage area A formed in a RAM 13. Then a CCD reader 21 reads out a two-dimensional code printed on the prepaid card. The read two-dimensional code data are analyzed to confirm the data on the balance, and the data on the balance are stored in a storage area B formed in the RAM 13. Then when it is judged that the data on the balance stored in the storage area A and the data on the balance stored in the storage area B does not match each other, it is judged that the prepaid card is a forged card. Then a forged card process is performed. |
