PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel-hydrogen battery device which is contemplated light in weight and whose lifetime is prolonged. SOLUTION: When the charging operation of a nickel-hydrogen battery is started and hydrogen gas is generated to fill a pressure vessel 20, the hydrogen gas is led to a cooling apparatus 21 and liquefied, which is once accommodated in a liquefying chamber 22. When discharging is started, it is sensed by a discharge sensing part 26, and a gasifier 24 is operated under control in response to the sensing, and the liquefied hydrogen in the chamber 22 is gasified to produce hydrogen gas, which is supplied to the gas inlet 20b of a pressure vessel 20 so that the charging operation is conducted. |
