PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion type nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery improving a cycle life, increasing a discharge capacity, reducing a cost and enhancing safety. SOLUTION: This battery comprises a positive electrode active material mainly composed of a lithium manganese compound oxide, represented by a composition range of LiMna Ma/c O4+b (M is metal cation except Li, 0<y<=1.2, 0<=a<=0.2, 1<=c<=3, 0<=b<0.3), negative electrode active material mainly composed of tin oxide and a nonaqueous electrolyte. Here, the positive electrode active material is 0.05μm or more 1.0μm or less in the average grain size of primary grain and 2μm or more 25μm or less in the average grain size of secondary grain. |
