PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the exchange period of a toner recovering member, with high reliability and a simple constitution, in an image forming device provided with plural developing devices by notifying an operator of the exchange period of the toner recovering member, when the sum total of the number of the operation times of toner feeding members reaches a reference number of operation times previously set. SOLUTION: The toner feeding members 13 and 14 are driven according to the output of toner concentration sensors provided in the developing devices 4 and 7, to supply toner in toner tanks 15 and 16 to the developing devices 4 and 7 and further, previously set so as to supply a specific amount of toner. The number of the operation times of the toner feeding members 13 and 14 is counted by counters 17 and 18, to recognize the degree of the consumption of the toner in the toner tanks 15 and 16. When the sum total of the counters 17 and 18 reaches a fixed number, an exchange signal for a toner bag 12 is outputted. Therefore, even if the developing device is exchanged in the process, the quantity of the toner in the toner bag 12 can be accurately recognized. |
