PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-demand system through the use of an ATM-HUB device on the on-demand system such as a VOD (video on-demand) system, for example. SOLUTION: The ATM-HUB device setting a path by PVC(permanent virtual connection) and a path setting management server are provided. The paths by PVC are previously set between respective subscriber terminals and the path setting management server and between the controller of the ATM-HUB device and the path setting management server. A media transmission request is given to the path setting management server through the path between the subscriber terminal and the path setting management server. The path setting management server gives a path setting request between the subscriber terminal being a request source and a media server being a connection destination to the controller in response to the media transmission request. The ATM-HUB device sets the path by a PVC function between the subscriber terminal and the media server. |
