PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the solid-state image pick-up element and its driving method as well as solid-state image pick-up device, enabling the single phase driving in the horizontal transfer. SOLUTION: Within the CCD solid-state image pick-up element 1 provided with a plurality of photoelectric conversion parts 11, a plurality of vertically transferring resistors 12 arranged in each vertical line of these photoelecric conversion parts 11 for vertically transferring the signal charge read out of respective photoelectric conversion parts 11 and horizontally transferring resistor 15 successively shifted by one line from the vertically transferring resistors 12, a pair out of the two pairs of electrodecouple of the resistors 12 is impressed with a single phase horizontally transferring clock Hϕ11, given through the intermediary of a clock terminal 19 from the outside of the device, while the other pair of these two pairs of electrodecouple is impressed with a DC bias voltage in almost 1/2 level of the amplitude of the horizontally transferring clock Hϕ11.
