摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating device of the excess length of an optical fiber cord, which is capable of coping with the change in winding diameter due to variations in the length of the optical fiber cord, and improve the assembling efficiency, stabilize the optical characteristics, and standardize the excess length treating structure. SOLUTION: The treating device for the excess length of an optical fiber cord is provided with a frame 23 formed into a square by connecting end parts of four rod materials 23a by connections which are freely turnable, and a stopper-metallic material 27 for connecting two rod materials 27a so that they can freely linearly, and provided with the first adjusting screw 29 for regulating the expansion and contraction. Further, a pair of connections on a diagonal of the frame 23 are mounted to the stopper-metallic material 27 by the second adjusting screw 33 so that they can be freely slid and fixed. Thus, the outer periphery passing through the connections except the pair of the connections mounted to the stopper-metallic material 27, and posta 30 erected on both ends of the stopper-metallic material 27 serves as a territory where the excess length of an optical fiber cord 41 is wound.
