PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a user easily grasp how to use a product or the state of a fault by inputting a product name and a type number according to an instruction from the side of a data base and displaying a method for using the product, method for dealing with the fault or the place of a service center through multimedia information. SOLUTION: A manual data base 9 is composed of a user information storage area, equipment operating method information storage area, service center information storage area and map information storage area. A client, who desires to know the guidance of the product or the method for dealing with the fault of the product, performs access through a public line 8 to the manual data base 9 while using a personal computer 1 owned at home, inputs the product name and the type number according to the instruction from the side of the data base 9 and performs retrieval so that the guidance information of the desired product or the method for dealing with the fault of the product can be provided by the multimedia of animation, characters and sounds or the like. |
