PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose an capability predicting device provided with a data base for an capability of multiple design. SOLUTION: Process performance data include cost, quality, cycle time, and a performance model. A process owner (expert) supplies data. A developer inputs an equation necessary for calculating prediction based on a selected design characteristics. A processor 11 calculates prediction based on selected design and a display such as a monitor 11a and a printer 16 displays the result of the prediction.
