PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal storage medium which is free from leakage of a thermal storage agent, excellent in durability and easy to construct and install. SOLUTION: A weight 4 for making a vessel 3 stand by itself and a thermal storage agent 2 having thermal storage properties are put in the vessel 3 having an upper cover part 3b provided with a vent 3d, so that a prescribed space is left between the thermal storage agent 2 and the upper cover part 3b, and then the vessel is closed by the upper cover part 3b. Since the upper part of the vessel 3 is covered with the upper cover part 3b and also the vessel 3 can be made to stand by itself by the weight 4, a thermal storage medium 1 obtained in this way is free from leakage of the thermal storage agent 2 due to vibration or the like. Moreover, the vent 3d and the space between the thermal storage agent 2 and the upper cover part 3b can reduce a change in an internal pressure and also can give room for expansion of the thermal storage agent 2 and, therefore, the leakage of the thermal storage agent 2 due to a fatigue or damage of the vessel 3 can be prevented. Since the thermal storage medium 1 stands by itself, it is constructed and installed easily. |
