PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable karaoke data to be downloaded from the server side to be processed even in a karaoke device on the clent side in which a CPU and a display driver whose speeds are slow are mounted. SOLUTION: The karaoke data downloaded from the server side are received in a communication part 2 to be stored in a RAM 4. A CPU 1 expands image data being in the karaoke data stored in the RAM 4 in a VRAM(video random access memory) 6 via a display driver 5 as RGBs of respective display points. Then, when the speed of the display color change event of ruby characters of the karaoke data exceeds processing abilities of the CPU 1 of its own and the display driver 5, the display color change event of the agate characters is made to be synchronized with the display color change event of text characters. The VRAM 6 displays the image data on a display 8 via the display controller 7.
