PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of an image reader and to efficiently remove the heat from a heater for preventing dew condensation at the normal actuation time of a scanner even in the case that the heater is always actuated by arranging the heater near a cooling fan and on an air current path. SOLUTION: A suction fan 100 is arranged at a position outside an aperture part 102 formed on a scanner babe 101 positioned at the lower part of the image reader. Then, the dew condensation prevention heater 110 is arranged near the fan 100 and on the air current path. That means, the heater 110 is fixed on a base 101a positioned at the central part of the aperture part 102 and connected to a PSU and the like so that it is controlled to be turned on or off. The fan 100 is provided with an air rectifying plate 115 so that outside air is introduced to the inside of the device by the rotation of the fan 100 and sent in a direction shown by an arrow A. Therefore, the heater part is directly and efficiently cooled by a control system that the heater is always energized regardless of the turning on/off of a power source switch. |
