<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make speedy operation possible without the need for complicated operation for searching for a menu downward by performing retrieval from a menu table according to a specific menu and displaying menues in a higher layer including the specific menu according to the retrieval result. SOLUTION: On the basis of the specific menu, the retrieval from the menu table 41 is performed to trace the menu table 41 in order from the specific menu to higher layers, and the retrieval result is stored in a retrieval result table 42. According to the retrieval result table 42, the retrieval result is displayed on a monitor 3. With a mouse 5, the specific menu is inputted to a command line previously set on the monitor 3. When the operator already knows his or her target menu, menus in the higher layer including the target menu can be all displayed through simple operation for only inputting the target menu. Therefore, troublesome operation for sequentially tracing hierarchical menus is not necessary.</p> |
