<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-destructive taste characteristic measuring device in which the instability of wavelength just after ON operation and afterglow in OFF operation of a laser are solved, taste characteristics such as degree of sugar, degree of maturity, or the like of vegetables and fruits can be precisely measured, and the lift of the laser beam source which is the component of the device can be remarkably extended. SOLUTION: This non-destructive taste characteristic measuring device has a laser beam source for emitting a laser beam to a melon (vegetable and fruit) to be measured, and a detector on which the.laser beam emitted from the vegetable and fruit receiving the emission of the laser beam is incident to measure taste characteristics of a vegetable and fruit from the incident luminous quantity of the laser beam incident on the vegetable and fruit and the detected luminous quantity of laser beam measured by the detector. A shutter 20 is arranged on the optical path between the laser beam source and the vegetable and fruit, and the irradiation and non-irradiation of laser beam to the vegetable and fruit are controlled by the opening and closing operation of the shutter.</p> |
