PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of a fissure due to a rise and a fall of the temperature of a burner tile and to prolong the service life of the burner tile to a great extent without adding any special construction, by selecting a back thickness percentage of the burner tile. SOLUTION: In regard to a burner tile for inserting a burner therethrough, a back thickness percentage of the burner tile is set to be in a range of the back thickness percentage(%) < 14/9×a front thickness percentage(%) + 45 in order to prevent occurrence of a fissure in a rise of temperature, and it is set to be in a range of the back thickness percentage(%) > 1×10<-5>×the front thickness percentage(%)<4> in order to prevent occurrence of the fissure in a fall of temperature. Herein the front thickness percentage and the back thickness percentage are expressed by the front thickness percentage = (a wall thickness inside a furnace)/(the inside diameter of a burner cup)×100(%) and the back thickness percentage = (a wall thickness outside the furnace)/(the inside diameter of the burner cup)×100(%) respectively.
