PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise of a gear for a reduction gear in operation so as to improve vibration isolating performance by applying three-layer plating of Ni-P/Co/Cr to the surface of a copper alloy containing the specific quantity of Mn and Al and the rest formed of Cu and unavoidable impurities, in order from the inner layer to the surface layer. SOLUTION: In a wear resistant gear used for an epicyclic reduction gear or the like, a copper alloy containing Mn: 20-50wt.% and Al: 0.1-5wt.% and the rest formed of Cu and inevitable impurities and having martensite transformed texture is used, and three-layer plating of Ni: 1-25wt.% P/Co/Cr is applied to the surface. In addition to the above components, this copper alloy contains Fe: 0.1-5wt.% or/and Co: 0.1-5wt.% and further one or more kinds of Cr, Ti, Zr at 0.0001-0.1wt.% singularly or in total if necessary. Each thickness of the Ni-P/Co/Cr layers is set in a range of 2-100μm, 0.5-20μm and 2-100μm.
