The blocking device (12), e.g. electric motor (13), is located outside the lock cylinder. The catch is drivably connected to a shaft (13a) protruding from the blocking device. The lock cylinder contains a cavity for receiving the catch, inside which the catch engages with the lock core. The lock comprises a core rotatably mounted inside the lock cylinder, a locking device such as a rotary latch (5) joined to the core or a member (4) thereof, one or more locking elements e.g. rows of pins, press elements or a side-bar operated (in)directly by a key, a movable catch engageable with the core to prevent it from turning, and an electric blocking device for preventing the catch from being disengaged from the core. |
