Process and arrangement for dewatering a suspension of fibrous material

In a dewatering process for a suspension of fibrous material, the suspension is fed into the space between an outer curved and an inner curved surface and forms a layer between them. The layer is dewatered through at least one of the surfaces, and the surfaces move at a relative speed to one another in such a way that, after a given dewatering path length, a more or less dry fibrous web is formed, possibly in the form of small rolls of fibres. The web is then further dewatered.Also claimed is an arrangement in which the process can be carried out.
