A housing element (41) mounted on the end face side of the crankcase is constructed in one piece, and within in it is formed at least one connecting channel (34,36,42,43) of the water circuit. The housing element is provided with connections (44,46) for internal channels and at least one connection (48) for external channel (35). The case of the engine's oil pump is integrated into the housing element, and the element has two connections for the oil circuit and which correspond to connections on the cylinder block.
