In order to facilitate assembly of a travelling high-pressure cleaning device with a motor and a motor-driven pump which are enclosed by a housing, the said device comprises an undercarriage(1) with a handle(5), on which a shell-shaped housing part (8) is placed in an upright position opening out onto a side surface. The shell-shaped housing part (8)receives the motor and the pump in an upright position. A cover(19) closes the housing part on its open side and is placed upon it, enveloping the motor and the pump (28). Holding elements (30) on the engine and/or pump engage between the shell-shaped housing part(8) and the cover (19) so that the housing part (8) and the cover (19) when closed, fix the motor and pump (28) in the housing formed by the housing part(8) and the cover (19).
