Hydraulic control for four geared automatic system

The control comprises a torque converter (T/C) comprising a lock-up clutch (D/C). Friction elements comprise a front and back coupling, a slow-reverse brake, an end coupling and a rapid downward brake. A regulating valve (21) regulates the pressurised oil dispensed by the oil pump (20). A reduction valve (22) produces oil pressure less than that of the regulating valve. A torque-converter valve (23) controls the oil pressure of the regulating valve. A lock-up clutch control valve (DCCV) controls the pressure of the torque converter valve or regulating valve to the torque converter. A manual valve (24) selects the areas according to the driver's clutch lever movements. Control valves (25-29) are incorporated. Valve elements (30) with four connections rapidly discharge the pressurised oil.
