Screw assembly for correction of misaligned teeth

The dental screw assembly comprises two bodies (1,2) whose separation can be adjusted by a screw (3) which engages in a threaded hole (16) in one of the bodies (1). Two direct guide rods (14,15) attached to both bodies are provided which prevent a relative rotation of the bodies during adjustment of their separation. The screw is a spring-loaded screw which has an axial bore (5) from which a pin (8) projects out under the influence of a spring (7). The pin engages within the other body (2).
