Bidirectional data communication method for local safety network

The method involves transferring a data sequence between a master and slaves with a superimposed voltage. The slaves act as current sinks when transmitted. A sequence of clock signals is transferred from the master to the bus after each data sequence transmission from the master to a slave. A pulse with one voltage continually alternates with a pulse with another voltage within the clock signal sequence. The higher voltage pulses serve as a window for current pulses for the slave which represent either a logic one or naught.
