An implant system (43) for anchoring a tooth replacement in a toothless jaw (3,4) or a toothless jaw section, comprising a first implant (45) with expandable side areas (46) for anchoring in the jaw bone and a second part (65) that can be screwed into the first implant (45) interacting with the tooth replacement and through which the side areas (46) of the first implant (45) can be expanded. Said system is so designed that the second part is intended as a secondary implant (65,65a) which can be implanted in the jaw bone and which on the one side hermetically seals the primary implant (45) with the expandable side areas (46) in the jaw bone (3,4) against the oral cavity and to which a third part (85) can be joined on the other side towards the oral cavity in order to fix the tooth replacement. The invention also comprises an implantation system and tools for the preparation of the bed of the implant. The expandable side areas (46) are only required during immediate strain on the implant system. These side areas and the second implant by virtue of its design are not subjected to a strainless inward growth of the implant system.
