The bicycle lamp has a removable lens (3) which is held inside the lamp housing by an intermediate element (9) which is moved by an outside control (10) to lock the lens into the lamp or to release it. The intermediate element slides or rotates to control the catch. An optimum shape for the intermediate element is cylindrical. The lens coupling is backed by spring pressure to keep the coupling locked. The system can include electric connections, which are made when the lens is fitted. The coupling includes a clamping force to secure the fitting.
