<p>A closure (12) for a container (11) comprises a first, securable part (13) which is secured to the neck (10) of the container by e.g. ultrasonic welding. The closure comprises a second, detachable part (15) in the form of a tear strip extending around the neck of the container, the tear strip (15) being joined also to a third, cover part (21). The securable part (13) is provided with a recess (29) and the cover part (21) with a complementary projection (28), such that when the tear strip (15) is removed, separating the cover part (21), the cover part may be moved into engagement with the securable part (13), by virtue of a snap fit engagement, permitting a generally air-tight seal to be provided between the securable part and the cover part.</p> |
