The headlamp (4) is fitted to a bracket (2) which has a tilt mounting about a horizontal axis (3) at the upper end of the mounting bracket (1) with which it is fitted to the bicycle. The tilt is adjusted by a screw whose wide, knurled head (10) provides a thumb wheel adjustment. No tools are required to adjust the beam. The screw is screwed into a threaded sleeve (9) in one part of the fitting. This sleeve can be metal while the rest of the mounting can be plastic, cast alloy etc. A ratchet secures the tilt setting while a spring clip locates into a groove under the head of the screw to hold is axially.
