The unit (10) splits the impinging light (13) into spectra (20), and the radiation of at least one spectrum is supplied to an energy generating unit (18). Pref. the impinging light is guided to optical elements (11, 12), forming a concentrated beam of parallel type, supplied to the light splitting unit. Typically the impinging light is guided to a convex lens (11) for the light focussing to a focal point (15), while a second convex lens (12) the focussed light (14) is converted into a beam (16) of parallel type supplied to the energy generating unit. The two convex lenses have different focal lengths.
