Known pressure-regulating valves for motor vehicles consist of a relatively large number of components which take considerable effort to assemble. This invention concerns a pressure-regulating valve (2) in which the necessary valve seat (16) is located directly on the valve housing (4, 4a) which is constructed of stamped sheet metal. This reduces the number of components required and diminishes the effort required for assembling the pressure-regulating valve (2). The pressure-regulating valve is particularly suited for fuel supply systems for motor vehicles with an internal combustion engine.
