The system encompasses at least one trailer base (3) or a vehicle with a chassis, with a swan-necked framework, and at least one changeable transport container fitting the vehicle. The container is provided with a lower framework (2) consisting of longitudinal (11,11') and lateral supports. In order to make possible the transferal of the containers from transport vehicles to rail wagons, the container framework is extended downwards in the form of a fish belly in the central region to increase its flexural strength. The extension (10) can be inserted in the recess of a "p"-type rail wagon.
