<p>The invention provides for a postinfection HIV vaccination therapy having a therapeutic goal of eliminating HIV in the patient. The therapy directs administration of an agent to reduce the viral load of a patient with a measurable viral load of HIV, administration of an agent that induces an increase in production of the patient's CD4 T-cells, and administration of a vaccine capable of stimulating the patient to produce CTLs targeted to HIV-infected cells.</p> |
