<p>The present invention in synchronizes in time and frequency a plurality of private radio base stations (10) operating in the coverage area of a land mobile communications network (70). The mobile network's control channels are used to derive a reference signal. A mobile terminal (30) uses the reference signal to become synchronized both in time and frequency with the mobile network (70). Any of the private radio base stations (10) that are linked in traffic connection with the mobile terminal (30) are synchronized with the mobile terminal. Consequently, the private radio base stations (10) are indirectly synchronized with each other and also with the mobile communications network (70).</p> |
