An acceleration limit sensor presenting a support device (14; 36), a seismic mass (10; 32) and a connecting device (12; 34) with which the seismic mass (10; 32) is mounted on the support device (14; 36). The connecting device (12; 34) presents a predetermined breaking point, which interrupts the connection between seismic mass (10; 32) and the support device when the seismic mass (10; 32) is impinged upon by an acceleration that exceeds a predetermined limit.
