Fuel injection pump for internal combustion engine
摘要
The fuel injecting pump (1) incorporates a cam ring (14) with inward-extending cam lobes. It is fixed in a housing (2) between two holding members (6-8) and has a sideways-extending peg (24), which fits into a timing device with a piston which can turn the ring through a small angle. The drive shaft (4) is supported in a radial ball bearing (7). The rotor contains two opposed pistons (9-10) which trap fluid in a pump space (11) between them to push the fuel through the injector. The pistons are moved up and down by rollers bearing on the cams and accommodated in semicylindrical channels in cam followers (12) which bear on the outer ends of the pistons.
