Heat exchanger, especially for vehicle air conditioning

The exchanger has an evaporation structure containing one or more corrugated metal plates (1). The structure has bowed sections (6) which form capillaries (8a,8b) between them so that fluid flowing between them partly evaporates. The plates a preferably formed from a rolled sheet compressed along the rolling direction. The plate may have a porous and or hydrophilic upper surface (9), and be made from a material which conducts heat well.
