PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a mail order service for many commodities by using a video delivery service system. SOLUTION: When a required commodity is displayed at the time of viewing video data 112, a user selects its scene with a selection button on a remote controller 111 and transmits the coordinate information of the required commodity to a video center 101 through a network 107. The center 101 retrieves commodity information for the commodity required by the user from a mail order data base 103 and delivers the retrieved information to the user. When the commodity information is not stored in the data base 103, commodity information such as a store dealing with the required commodity and its price is manually acquired, stored in the data base and additionally delivered to the user. Thereby the center 101 can provide mail order service for commodities displayed on video data to users while suppressing the scale of the commodity information data base to the minimum. |
