PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose a timer during the normal operation of a normal timer. SOLUTION: When a diagnostic mode signal 141 is inputted; a timer control circuit 118 selects one of the normal timers 101-103 as the timer to be diagnosed, controls selecting circuits 114-116 by a timer selection indicating signal 142 and a selection indicating signal 143 and stores the timer value of the timer to be diagnosed into the timer register 145 of a diagnosing timer 100. After that, counting-up is executed by a same timing, the timer value of the timer to be diagnosed is compared with that of the diagnosing timer 100 by a coincidence/non-coincidence detecting circuit 117 and it is recognized that the timer to be diagnosed is normal at the time of coincidence. |
