The braking component has two oppositely disposed brake blocks (3a,b), and the operating device (4) is designed so that it presses the brake blocks together and at the same time against the cable during braking. The brake blocks are displaced parallel to each other, and the operating device is formed as a double eccentric actuator which has a drive shaft (5) upon which are installed two eccentric lever discs (6,7), and with the drive shaft attached on a frame (8).
